VOR distance

Is the VOR distance set as standard or on a by-module basis? I'm at 35,000 and pick up high-level VOR stations at exactly 60 NM every time.
Edit: Had a test with two other aircraft, both were a little more random and picked up at about 70-ish, but then when I tried again both picked up at 60. Maybe it was just dumb chance.

@Pilot-Pyles The VOR range is determined by the simulator and isn't something that we have any control over

Must have been a coincidence then. :D
I made a 60 NM ring at it clicked exactly at that point repeatedly. Sim it is.
