MFS Pitch scale adjustment
-
Really enjoying the Vulcan so far, good work guys.
However, it seems some of the MFS instrumentation functionality is a bit weird. Firstly I believe the servo driven pitch scale on the director horizon should be able to be manually adjusted to any value, with the adjacent pitch knob, whenever the pitch selector is in the central position. This isn't the case. The pitch scale setting knob doesn't appear to work.
Secondly, it would be really nice if we could have some additional navigator functionality....maybe in an update. The real Vulcan MFS had the ability for the navigator to feed variation and drift into the beam compass so that it could show True Headings and either True or Magnetic Track. The 'Remote' setting was used for this. Maybe some kind of UI on the Navigator station could be created. Also it would be great if the GPS unit displayed Groundspeed and Drift. A Green Satin instrument would be perfect. And there appears to be no way to create 'direct to's' within the current GPS flightplan. Which is a bit of a limitation.
Otherwise, fantastic work. DCS is crying out for something similar.......just saying.

Glad you're enjoying the aircraft.
The pitch selector knob is functional but it's currently adjusting the pitch scale too slowly when in the central position. That will be fixed in the next update and in the meantime you can pull the pitch selector knob out for a faster adjustment rate.

@Martyn Yes. Apologies, I just found out that if you pull it out, it works. My bad. Thanks.
Currently is there any functionality with the HRS/MFS switch? In the real aircraft setting the switch to HRS would allow the much more accurate Heading Reference System to provide headings and allow the Nav Plotter to use his TCU to dial in a course to follow, and inject that into the director horizon flight director.
Obviously the MSFS GPS unit is currently set up to the Remote (&MFS) position........does the HRS setting do anything? Thanks.
