Latest Update

HI Derek,
Do you do any sort of quality control ? - apart from missing flightplans, missing airlines, the main problem I have noticed it that all the propeller aircraft do not fly, land or taxi correctly and now, since this update the propellers are not turning, with you guys it seems its one step forward and one step back. I have been patient and waited 18 monthls but now I do not believe this program is fit for purpose, please advise how I get a refund. Sorry but I have lost patience, in my opinion this whole affair has been one bad joke that I feel Just Flight have handled extremely badly.
The hype for TG stated real world airlines with real world schedules, I appreciate it is difficult to achieve this but for the last 18 months you have come up with excuse after excuse and now you say the program is, by all intentions complete for FSX, I am sorry but I don't think it is. I know we all have different opinions but I have now come to the conclusion a refund is my best option, so please advise ASAP how I can get one.

@NealeR Your best bet would be to contact Just Flight support. I am not sure what it is you are expecting from an AI traffic program for FSX. Traffic Global comes with real world airlines and real world schedules. Can they be checked against something like Flightradar? Is every flight and airline included? No - that's simply not something that is achievable in the current range of simulators and we've tried to make that as clear as possible. However, we think TG offers a massive improvement on the default AI and without the need to do any significant tinkering around.
You say you don't think it is complete. What, in your opinion, would make it 'complete' for you? If there is a bug with all the prop aircraft we will take a look - it's not something we are aware of and it's not been reported by any of our testers up to now.

Hi Derek,
I can only report what I see, the prop aircraft are very bouncy in flight and sometimes on the ground and also since the new update the propellers are not moving but have a round halo round them, on the ground and in the air. Some of these problems have been reported on the old EA forum but obviously have not been addressed. Appreciate you cant include all airlines but in my opinion there are some significant airlines missing, as an example PIA. I have contacted your support to ask for a refund but as of yet no reply, I appreciate I only did this yesterday. Sadly while you will argue the toss that this program delivers I have to disagree.
Sorry but like many I have got fed up of waiting.

This is what i see flying out of EGAC.

My concerns are still lack of commuter airlines that populate pretty much airports of North America. I have stated this before, such as American Eagle. Think their partner airlines might be listed in database but do not appear.

I can't really see that in the picture. Are you able to take a large screen to show what you mean?
-
This any better

Hi Irishman
Are the propellers rotating or does it just have a circle round them ? Like derek it is difficult to see from your picture. On mine I have same as yours but propellers don't rotate, this seem to be common on all prop aircraft, it worked fine on mine before the latest update.
-
No it wasn't present before the update but the propeller planes flying all jittery etc has been present since day 1. I appreciate you cant add all airlines but I would have thought PIA would deserve to be included, are there any plans to include them ?.
Derek I appreciate you taking the time to answer me but I still feel TG is falling short and not the program I envisaged when I read the original hype 18 months ago - you yourself have declared it is a done job apart from some schedules and maybe some repaints, if this is the case I would appreciate it if you could arrange a refund. My biggest issues at the moment are
- Propeller aircraft - various as mentioned above.
- When creating flight plans you have no reference point when picking airlines/aircraft - (a lot of the airlines are not listed in alphabetical order against each type of aircraft )- until you compile the flight plan you have no idea what repaint your getting unless you look at it first in the look up folder for the repaints - could this not be linked so you can see what repaint you are picking when you create the flight plan.
- The app seems unstable, does not always compile correctly and often crashes needing a reboot.
4)Missing Airlines - Too many aircraft hanging around taking up parking spaces waiting for their flight the following day.
I have waited 18 months in the vain hope these issues would be sorted but as of yet they do not appear to have been.
I understand this is a hell of a job but JF decided to undertake it and sell it before it was ready for market.

Unfortunately, as you bought it over a year and a half ago, the transaction can't be refunded via PayPal. However, I am sure the support team will find a way round that.

I have looked back in the old forum and the only reference I can see is to an ATR72 with a problem. No mention of other prop aircraft.

It's a great suggestion and something we can look at. Not sure if it has been mentioned before but flight plans are not my bag.

Certainly not something we're aware of. X-Plane has a dump log for these kind of things. Not sure if that exists in FSX? Is it something you've reported to support?
4)Missing Airlines
The latest update included some more liveries and we will add more in the future. However, the number included in the original build should provide a pretty decent range of traffic.

That's something that may be taken care of with the updated schedules.

We did try and make it clear that the product was in early access. We took on board the feedback and suggestions from the early access buyers and the result is, we think, a very good AI traffic program. It looks like we won't be able to satisfy every user, but pretty much all the feedback we receive outside this forum is positive. I am sorry you have been left so dissatisfied - rest assured that is never our intention - but a program like this will always be a compromise. We have been making this product since 2002 and it is still one of our most popular titles.

The Saab 340 has instabilities that were mentioned many times in the EA forum but were apparently not fixable. (eg: tagged S340, SAAB340)
-
Just to confirm: all props are like that in v1.1.1.2, even when parked...
ATR 42
ATR 72
Dash8-300
Dash8-400
Saab 340
and the S340 is just as jittery as ever... -

OK - many thanks. Looks like some error when the lighting was changed. Should be easily fixable and we will get an update out asap.
-
@Derek I freely confess to knowing absolutely nothing about the mysterious processes involved, so I'm most likely inadvertently stating the obvious here, but in case it's of any help, reverting to the v1.1.1.1c models solves the issue with all the props.
-
@Capt-Quirk Yes - model was probably broken when we did the lighting updates but didn't show up in testing probably because the lighting was being tested.
