F28 feedback, bug report & feature requests

- I'm just reposting this into the correct category. I didn't know there was a specific topic for the F28 *
Hello Just Flight!
First of all, congratulations for releasing the Fokker F28. We can tell how much love and dedication was put into it. I've already completed my 40th flight with it. This plane is so much fun and attention to detail is very nice! (as usual). However, I've noticed a few things that I wanted to share and that hopefully, get patched/added.1 - Contrails and engine smoke aren't aligned/synced during crosswind conditions (I also noticed that I have the default contrails and afaik there was custom contrails for this plane?). The smoke seems to be right and the contrail not. The bug might not be related to the plane...

2 - Add a deadzone/threshold to the throttle for the lift dumpers to deploy during take off. When you throttle up, sometimes you inadvertently throttle back by an inch which engages the spoilers during roll out. There could be an option in the EFB to set the detection to, let's say, 25% or idle.
3 - Overhead panel lights clickspot are difficult to aim because of the light intensity mouse symbol (left/right arrows). This could be patched by using scroll mouse to change the light intensity while using left/right click for button pressing interaction.
4 - Flickering shadows in the cabin in low shadows map resolution (is better with higher values but still flickers a bit) : https://streamable.com/rekdih
5 - The plane reaaally struggles to climb above 31k feet generally, even with low fuel & ZFW. The service ceiling of 35k seems absolutely unreachable. Does it have to do with summer temperatures? (I fly above Europe)
6 - White storm light is overwhelmingly powerful. Is this accurate to real life?
7 - There's a black line in the middle of the fuselage behind the upper wings doors. Global simulator settings set on medium : https://streamable.com/c8xpfh7 - EFB : Add a folder in which the user could add their own pdf charts (kind of similar to the tablet in Xplane 11/12). That could be perfect for non-navigraph users).
8 - More dirty windows for pax and pilots. They almost look like there is nothing in the frame (but that's more a detail that anything else).
9 - Openable cockpit windows (I don't know if it was ever planned since it's not a priority but that could add a extra mile of immersion).
10 - PLEASE add an keybind for gear warning horn. When adjusting power during descent and approach, it keeps going on and off and it's difficult sometimes to access during busy procedures. I haven't found anything about it in the manual. So it's pretty much what cons I have in mind so far.
I'm keen to hear Just Flight's reply to my questions and feedback. Let's make this plane a museum for a legendary plane ! :))

Thank you for the detailed feedback, we're glad to hear you're enjoying the F28!
Most of the points you have raised are already on our radar and have already been fixed for the next update, or are something we are aware of and are actively looking into. I'll comment on a few of your points below:
2/ We have completely reworked the flight control systems code for the next F28 update and improvements to the lift dumpers automatic deployment will be part of that. With the next update, the lift dumpers will only deploy during an aborted takeoff if they are armed and the throttle is retarded below 75% HP RPM when above an airspeed of 50 knots (which is the same logic used in the real aircraft).
5/ Although the maximum certified flight altitude for the F28 was 35,000ft, the aircraft would very rarely (if ever) fly at that altitude during normal operations. The standard maximum operating altitude for the F28 with a drop-out passenger oxygen system is 30,000ft (25,000ft without a drop-out passenger oxygen system), anything above that altitude the aircraft will really struggle to climb unless weight is extremely low. After all, the real aircraft was originally designed for short regional flights.
8/ In early test versions of the F28 the windows were much dirtier than they currently are, however, with certain anti-aliasing modes (particularly with DLSS) you would notice a significant amount of artifacts across the window as the dirt marks move against the clouds. We decided to reduce the dirt levels to the level they are currently to prevent this from occurring, yet still have some amount of dirt visible.
9/ Openable cockpit windows are sadly not likely to be added at this stage as it would involve some significant modeling rework in the cockpit. Never say never, but unlikely as of now.

@mark Thank you a lot for your reply. I'm glad most of the things I mentioned will be added/patched.
I understand about the points you mentioned. The EFB charts directory would be one of my top requests for now as windows will not be a thing implemented.
