Idle thrust

Hi!
Not exactly sure about that, but isn't the idle thrust a bit too much? Releasing the brakes, the plane starts rolling without any thrust input, even on high TOWs. Again, as I've no experience with the real deal here I only can imagine what it should be like...

I can't speak for the F28 from first hand knowledge but it is not uncommon for airline aircraft to move at idle thrust with the brakes off. Narrow body Airbuses with IAE engines in particularly are noteworthy for their idle thrust taxi speed.

@piedmonitor I'm not sure that the 31kN RR Spey motors have a lot of thrust. But I'm not an F28 pilot, and you're right that there are many aircraft that roll with engine idle. However, in the case of the F28, I believe that the ground behaviour at engine idle is not correct. In my +100 flights with the F28 with various loads, I have not noticed a change in the behavior of the aircraft with the engines on idle.

Flight handbook manual says to slightly increase power to initiate rolling and back throttle to idle when taxi speed is reached. When aircraft is low weight, it could be need to use wheel brake to reduce speed.
