To attenuate the GPU sound and wind noise I enabled the MS headset emulation mode which did that. But - I then didn't seem to get any 1000' to go audible alerts but I did get the minimum tone.
What would be great would be to have discrete sliders for wind, engine, external and cockpit sounds. I can dream right?
