BEAM disengaging after GPS Direct

As the title says, when flying a route using the GPS, when performing a direct when flying in BEAM, the autopilot reverts to ROLL. Happening since 1.1.

That's normal and happens due to GNS changing the signal to follow the Direct command. Something similar as when changing active NAV mode or GPS to VLOC.

@taguilo well that's annoying, seeing as it didn't do it in the previous version.

@taguilo Okay understood. I understand why it would disengage when switching nav source, but remaning in GPS while performing a direct and having it disengage is a bit weird in my opinion.

@crimtye I've just checked and BEAM remains active if there is a valid VOR/LOC tuned in the active NAV radio. That's probably the reason you didn't notice before, you must had been in that situation. But the point is that the GNS loses the bearing signal for an instant, enough to revert the AP to basic ROL mode. It seems to be doing a "GPS/VLOC/GPS" switch internally.
