Piper Arrow III JF - autopilot nav issue
-
Hi there,
does anyone have a problem with GNS 530 on Arrow III where aircraft does not follow flight path on autopilot despite having all set up (AP ON, HDG ON, Rotary Switch: NAV and CDI GPS). HDG, ROLL works ok but airplane just not reacting to NAV mode.Any ideas?

@szymek2392 Yes I have the exact same problem. Thought it was just me as I hadn’t heard anyone else with a similar problem. I’m on Xbox btw

@onegoodknock Yes, guys on mfs forum also replicated this issue. I guess this aircraft needs update when it comes to gns 530... guess aau2 broke AP.

@szymek2392 interestingly if you switch to the very basic Garmin unit (can’t remember it’s name) the plane will follow the flight plan.

I can confirm having the GNS 530 selected breaks several autopilot functions.
- GPS course isn't followed.
- Turning on AP or turning on HDG both lock up the trim (which can usually be freed by toggling VS HOLD on/off).
- Roll knob makes > rate 1 turn, no matter how little/much the knob is turned.
Working Title advised us a long time ago to remove their addons as they were being incorporated into the default sim avionics so maybe still having it in the aircraft causes a conflict?

Are you sure the AP is even getting turned on...in ANY mode? Since this last update, the AP has never turned on for me...not even just a simple roll or heading mode...it's never on.
