Vertcial speed hold in 1.06 - how to make it work?
-
Re. the new vertical speed hold in 1.06, the updated manual says "Vertical speed hold clickspot – click the blank area to the right of the heading switch to toggle the vertical speed hold mode. Once engaged, vertical speed can be adjusted by moving your mouse over the vertical speed hold clickspot and rotating your mouse wheel." I can't get this to work at all - rotating the mouse wheel zooms the screen in or out. Is there something I've missed?

@martyn Yes, I am seeing the tooltip. I had previously turned these off for the sake of realism, but after a disastrous flight where I couldn't stop the Arrow climbing I turned them back on. I could then see that I could switch the speed hold on and off by clicking the mouse, but (as far as I remember) the plane continued to either climb or descend. When switched 'on' I was unable to change the rate that was set, except by some random click. I do like the idea of the new vertical hold, it just doesn't work at all for me.

@clarkac Go to MSFS 2020 general settings. Click on the accessibility tab then choose Legacy controls and not locked. Now when you mouse over the vertical speed your mouse wheel should make it change. That's what I did and it works now.
