    Hello!
Dear developers, why are updates for 146 so rare? Has work on the model been discontinued ? Or is there nothing to update? I don't think so..

What are some of your concerns?

I find the plane to be very enjoyable to fly and can't think of anything that needs fixing.
I alternate between this plane and the Black Square Baron, great fun.

Really looking forward to the RJ release, the developers are probably spending most of their time on that.

@andrey To answer your question with some context...

There is an update for the 146 MSFS in the works. a lot of the work is already done and we're now waiting for the work on the new FMC to be completed so we can test and add that to the next update. As things stand the a/c is perfectly fine, flies great and gives the user the right balance between a pleasurable simple enough plane to jump in and fly and there is enough depth to keep seasoned flyers on the toes too. So yet there areas we'd like to refine and improve, it's all in the works for you. the last update was back in September last year. Putting a positive spin on things one might think the lack of a need for update after updates would suggest it's a good solid plane as things stand. It continues to be a firm favourite with users which is great for us of course.

our in-house team is relatively small, it works on several other projects on top of the 146 so work has to be spread around and prioritised. in this ever-changing world of MSFS it's not simple to plan from one project to the next or indeed from one month to the month, so many things can come along to throw multiple spanners in the works that mean work priorities have to be switched. We balance work on updates with working on new projects. It's always a hard balance to find but we do the best we can and make decisions based on what we believe our users and customers will benefit most from. Many users have been waiting months for updates to the Piper fleet we released. The team have only just managed to complete those, complications were plenty along the way including ensuring they'll be X-box compatible They will be released next week and then the team will begin further work on the next batch of titles including the Hawk and the 146 Professional. to be fitted in also will be work on the soon to be released F28 Professional and the RJ Professional and further work on X-Plane product updates,.

Hopefully that might give you an idea of the workload the team face. We don't have a number of dev teams specific to each product, multitasking has to be key. Help is on hand from some great third party developers of course on these projects but that also offers an obstacle, ensuring all the work ties together nicely so the projects can move along in a smooth and efficient manner.

Never easy any of this but we try and do what's possible given all the usual constraints so I'd just bear with us and be assured that the 146 work hasn't been discontinued, it's very much alive and further improvements and new features will be added in the fullness of time. Thanks.

@lancealotg Well, at least rain/snow and clouds inside the cockpit are a very good reason for an update, i think ;)

Yes, you are correct, forgot about that bug.

Still all in all, I feel the 146 is the most enjoyable plane I fly out of all my planes. Seems to fit my style of flying exactly.

            Happy flying HaMa

Where you able to resolve the cold and dark panel state so the batteries are switched off?

I agree. For me, this is also the best aircraft in the MSFS from the existing ones, although both Phoenix and PMDG were bought from me. But I fly more often on it, he makes you think)
The main thing is that the developers do not stop this project.
