Bespoke Schedules for all Airports in FS Traffic.
-
I have now created schedules for every airport in FS-Traffic with the following frequencies for Arrivals and Departure.
1 flight per hour, 2 flights per hour, 4 flights per hour, 6 flights per hour, 12 flights per hour, 20 flights per hour and 30 flights per hour. You may mix and match the files for instance 30 flights per hour Departures with 4 flights per hour Arrivals. The choice is yours. You can mix and match for the density of traffic you desire. Just be aware the departure and arrival times are fictitious.
All my files are located here: https://flightsim.to/c/user-content/fs-traffic
I hope this will be useful for some of you.
Have fun!

sorry for maybe asking a sincerly stupid question, but what is this ment for?

@gunstrauss I am glad you asked. It allows you to control the number of arrivals and departures per hour for each airport. You may want an airport or airports that are very busy so you would use maybe 20 flights per hour for departures and arrivals. You may want airports with very few arrivals so you would use maybe 1 per hour for arrivals. Maybe you want an empty airport with lots of arrivals, so you would use 1 per hour for departure and maybe 20 per hour for arrivals.
You can use whatever you want for each individual airport.
Does this help you?

But does not the FStraffic come with enough routes in itself? Still don’t understand the use-case.
-
@gunstrauss Yes it does. Some are complaining there are too many departures and arrivals. The files I have made allow you to control the amount of flights. So you can have airports as busy or empty as you wish.

thats great work you have done thank you
I'm curious, how do you create the arrivals? the traffic centre only allows to modify departures -

I'm curious, how do you create the arrivals? the traffic centre only allows to modify departuresI have looked at the file structure of both the Departures and Arrivals. I then created a spreadsheet macro that imports each file one by one. It uses the ICAO, Aircraft, Airline and Callsign in each row to populate the spreadsheet up to 720 rows (which is 30 rows per hour). The departure and arrival times are preset by me. I then export from the spreadsheet at required periods, every 1, 2 4 rows etc. I make sure the file structure matches the original and the control data at the end matches the flights defined. It took me some time to understand what the control data does. It takes about 2 seconds to process each airport, there are 14 files per airport. I can place a list of the airports I require and it will process them in turn. So I do them by each first letter A, B, C etc.
Does that help?
