Improper separation

I noticed several times now, that traffic (although they should be on a schedule, right?) have completely improper separation. I've had instances where 10+ AI aircraft suddenly were lined up for landing with a few meters distance, all of course then going around, resulting in some kind of "air show" over the airport....
Is this going to be improved or is there something that can be done about it (like aircraft "canceling" each other out when they get too close to another)?
