Reduce traffic density
-
Hi,
V1.0.3 is working for me ATM.
But I can't reduce the traffic density as the option within the toolbar has been removed.
I previously ran 50% density as 100% was too much of a performance hit for my liking.
Thanks

@badgersausages Do you have a few favourite airports? I could make some 50% density files for you

@badgersausages Hi,
The "Time Before Departure Valve (Mins)" option on the Traffic Control Centre > Options page should give you very similar results to the old Traffic Density option.
The default value is 90 minutes, which means from the time you load into a flight, the following 90 minutes of traffic will be generated (for example if you load into a flight at 14:00, all scheduled traffic scheduled to depart up until 15:30 will be generated at the airport).
If you reduce this value to 45 minutes, you should see roughly half the amount of traffic generated (depending on flight schedules).

Many thanks, I shall give the min time before departure a try. I was a little unsure about this when reading the release notes, thanks for explaining.
Unfortunately I like to run all airports at 50% density so it may take a while to do them all!

I have now created schedules for every airport in in FS-Traffic with the following frequencies for Arrivals and Departure.
1 flight per hour, 2 flights per hour, 4 flights per hour, 6 flights per hour, 12 flights per hour, 20 flights per hour and 30 flights per hour. You may mix and match the files for instance 30 flights per hour Departures with 4 flights per hour Arrivals. The choice is yours. You can mix and match for the density of traffic you desire. Just be aware the departure and arrival times are fictitious.

@killamarshian Thanks mate I shall certainly take a look
