    Hi guys,

Product is working great although I have noticed that there are very few liveries and types when compared to FSLTL. I see the flight plans exist, just the liveries don't for most of these (hence I get a lot of strange traffic, (e.g. all Malaysian airlines at Singapore Changi or all Philippine airlines at Ninoy Aquino even though the airline type says CEB PACIFIC).

I know you will work on updating to include the full set, but in the meantime while waiting, is there any easy way to bulk add all the FSLTL liveries under model matching? I saw the manual but seems like we need to manually edit the aircraft.cfg and then update each cell one by one. Is this correct?

Just trying to figure out if there is an easier way or a tutorial that can show how to do this.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Thanks for the feedback. I will ask but not sure there is any way to bulk update liveries - we envisaged users painting and then adding them one at a time. I think, as with Traffic Global for X-Plane, there may be some sharing of user-generated liveries. In the meantime we are compiling a list of livery requests and also working on a batch of additional aircraft to be added in due course.

@derek Thanks Derek for the quick response.

Would be nice to have an easier way to do this.

Wonder if any of the work from GentlePilot can be reused - he literally rebuilt all the flight plans and liveries for X-Plane's Traffic Global to match 2022 models - https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/257857-traffic-global-airlineliveryflightplan-updates-aio-download

I have verified them in X-Plane 11 and they work great!

I'm familiar with what he's done, but, I think for all sorts of reasons it is not the sort of thing we could do officially. Like him, someone unconnected with JF (or FSTL) would probably need to do it as a freeware project.

I just tried FSLTL from SFO to Oakland....with FS Traffic ....using the off settings for Air Traffic - seems to get the best of both worlds at the moment. Got lots of traffic departing and arriving....frame rates were good. Only found one Generic Osobo aircraft parked in Oakland. Set the destination using the pop up menu for FS Traffic.

I have no way of knowing how many of the aircraft I saw came from which product....but for me the results were very satisfactory.

Seems like a painless alternative to the current state of the FS Traffic product - at least for me I saw no conflicts.

According to the fstl discord chat, they plan to make it compatible with fs traffic soon, so good news!

Cool I will try this and report back to see if both of them can work in parallel too.

                          Hello dear friends

Those of you who have tried using FS traffic liveries with FSTLT. Do you only have the "Fleet" folder in your community folder? Because that's what FSLTL recommends.

                          Thanks

                            Hi @thy777
I am using FS Traffic with FSLTL and it is working perfectly. I did not have to delete any folder from community folder.

What is important to do is to open the FS Traffic app and dissable the FS Traffic Injector.

Then, in the FSLTL Injector select to prioritise the FS Traffic models.

In my experience is the best way to use both and the result is extraordiary.

@juan90tf I don't get it. How can you disable the FSLTL injector but then set it to prioritise FS Traffic models. If it's not running, it can't prioritise anything. Also, where is the option to disable the FSLTL injector from within the MS Traffic app?

I run FSLTL but with priority set to FS models but I'm not sure which database it's loading from. I wish it could just inject from both.

I’ve just installed FSLTL with the view to using FS Traffic (FST) liveries. I’m doing this as I prefer FSLTL’s method of injecting traffic; using live traffic databases rather than the pre-made schedules that JFT uses.

I am currently at EGLC as I test this.

Getting everything set up to be able to use the FSLTL injector with JFT liveries was a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

The immediate difference I noticed is that whereas JFT injects all ground traffic, in accordance with your pre-set TBDv, as soon as you spawn in, FSLTL seems to spawn traffic in nearer its due departure time. This has the effect of making it appear that your departure airport is more empty initially using FSLTL, but it does fill up as each aircraft’s due departure time approaches. This is opposed to JFT’s method of injecting all ground traffic at your spawn in.

One odd thing I did notice was that as soon as I spawned in the FSLTL traffic, there was a Swissair flight about to pushback and depart to Zurich. His went well. But ten minutes later the same aircraft with same callsign and flight plan, spawned in again and departed. I do have the JFT injector disabled in the TCC. Perhaps just a little glitch.

I’ll keep on watching what happens.

I’ve just installed FSLTL with the view to using FS Traffic (FST) liveries. I’m doing this as I prefer FSLTL’s method of injecting traffic; using live traffic databases rather than the pre-made schedules that JFT uses.

@bpfonteyn I only use these addons for eye candy - checking they are the correct flights would drive me insane! :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:
