APU overspeed test: Error in User Manual

    The manual states on page 142 that "The overspeed shutdown protection can be tested on the ground by pressing the APU OVSPD switch when the APU is running."

    Doing so turns the APU off. Does the manual imply that this is just a ground test or an actual shutdown procedure?

      Can anyone answer this query? Is the APU overspeed test meant to turn off the APU. I mean is turning off the APU part of the test? I'm not referring to the shutdown procedure during which we turn off the APU with this button. All I'm asking is that is there a test functionality associated with this button also?

        @bongobear It is only used during the shutdown/exit phase of checklist, you cant test it if its not running. Use normal shutdown in flight.
