Is the FMS easy to operate? I can use the 737 and A320 FMSs without any problems. Is the one on 146 similar?

From 'real life' experience landing at LCY: if you are on speed and glide-slope, close the thrust levers at 50' and flare at 20' into the 'landing attitude' - and hold it. If you're fast, close the thrust at 60' - if slow, close at 40' but glide path is critical. Remember, if you aren't down by the lights, it's a go-around off the deck ( or a 'bolter' in carrier parlance). I'm sure other 146 crew had their techniques but in 3 years I never had a 'bolter' and didn't spill anyone's G&Ts.

Yes. It is not a BAe FMS as fitted but borrowed from the asobo CJ4. I believe that a 146/RJ FMS is planned by JF but I stand to be corrected on both.
