Autopilot sync button fixed with FSUIPC
-
For those that have the registered version of FSUIPC, it is very easy to have the sync button work like the real aircraft.
Assign the toggle afterburner function to "control sent when button in pressed" and also to "control sent when button is released".
Thats it.
Now when you press and hold your assigned button, it keeps the sync button held down in the sim. No toggle.
Releasing the button returns it back to normal.Since the last update, I can't stop flying this plane.
Great job MartynI also have been flying old school, VOR to VOR, no FMS. Its great, I am busy with the radios almost the entire flight.
I was getting a bit bored by having the FMS do everything.
Give it a try, you might be surprised by how much more you enjoy your flights. -
@lancealotg What "sync" is this please
-
@gabe777
A push-button (SYNC) fitted to each control wheel allows either pilot to temporarily disengage the autopilot servo motor clutches to carry out manually controlled adjustments to the aircraft attitude. This will re-datum the autopilot or flight director modes. Release of the button will re-engage the clutches. This is available in the basic modes of PITCH and ROLL and for IAS, MACH, VS and ALT. The SYNC button can be toggled with the ‘TOGGLE AFTERBURNER’ assignment or set with the ‘SET ELT’ assignment.For instance, if you are descending in VS mode at 1500 fpm and want to go to 1000 fpm, just push the sync button on the yoke and pitch up till you get to 1000 fpm and then release the button.
Now the VS mode will capture the 1000 fpm rate (or whatever rate you were at when you released the button). -
@lancealotg Wow.
So a little like CWS ?
Is the new value (e g. FPM) so created, reflected in the instrument readouts ?
