It’s been over 20 years since I flew on a 146, but just curious if the engine sounds should fade more with higher altitude, and also the APU seems very low in external view on the ground. Is this how it really is, or room for some improvement? Thanks.

@gilandred Yes, I am wondering the same thing. I've been a pax in the front few rows of the 146 a few times, and pretty sure the engine sound faded to a rumble, and was masked by the rushing of air across the fuselage when at altitude.

And, the external APU, brake fans and packs sounds seems a little quiet - I have vivid memories of boarding the plane and hearing a cacophony of sounds, particularly those brake fans if it was a quick turnaround!

I also can't hear any hydraulic pump sounds in the JF model, but not sure what those should sound like - just an observation.

The sound set on the whole is spectacular and very immersive, but would love it if it could be tweaked a little as per the above.

No current plans to change the sound unless there is something specific that you think needs fixing? If so, raise a Support ticket and we can look into it.
