Won't stall...and a bit twitchy in certain phases of flight
-
Hi all,
Just got the Warrior. Have about 100 hrs in the real thing.
I can't get it to stall at all. It just wallows around, no stall horn etc.
Also, I find some phases of flight, especially on short final, to be very twitchy - it's almost like something happens in the flight dynamics once below a certain height - it makes landings less immersive.
I won't mention the difficulty in staying straight on the runway with a crosswind...that's an MSFS thing I think...
Love it though - great model/panel and hopefully some little tweaks will make it great.
Ian.

@ianb2469 It used to stall, and then a sim update changed things without any specific information as to what was changed and how to allow for it / reverse the problem.
There is a flight dynamics update in the offing, hopefully it will also smooth things a bit as the controls have been slightly adjusted to get the stall back!

@ianb2469 Yeah I also noticed that this air plane does not behave like real life Warrior II does. I have over 200 hours in it. It wont stall at all in MSFS, just slowly starts decending when I have the yoke pulled all back at 45 knots.
Hope they fix this. -
@delta558 any news ? have you actually been waiting for a month for an asobo response?
if they did not answer, maybe look for another way of contact? Please write whether you are quietly working on solving all the problems or whether this project has been abandoned and we do not expect any changes.
Thanks! Seb -
@sebastianr yes, it literally is just like that when waiting for an answer. I had to prompt on the dev support forum for a question that had been waiting 6 months for an answer. I know they are a small group for a big game, but anything flight model related seems to struggle to be answered, either satisfactorily or at all.
In terms of 'quietly working on it', I have been doing that for far too long for it to be economically viable😂 nearly a year now, and I have run out of ideas given that most of the Asobo flight model does not really make sense either aerodynamically or geometrically, and the SDK has been followed as far as was possible given the state of it back then and, to an extent, now!
So we really are in their hands unfortunately, and believe me I am as disappointed about that as you are.
