    The autopilot doesn't have an altitude hold function but it does have a very welcome cheaty clickspot that toggles alt hold on and off, would it be possible to add an equally cheaty clickspot to toggle pitch hold on and off ? Would make climbing and descending so much less busy ...

    Cheers

      @grol Have you tried just activating the AP ?

      That should hold current pitch and heading.

      Expecting a CWS system is expecting a bit much though !

        @gabe777 I personally wouldn't equate a clickspot to toggle pitch hold with a CWS system but we all play the game our own way, you do you :face_blowing_a_kiss:

        Sorry for not waiting 3 months to post this but you know how it is.

          @grol

          Well that's exactly what it is.

          Anything more than holding current pitch and wings level... achieved by activating AP (Press Z )... IS CWS.

          i e. "Temporary disconnect of AP while you adjust pitch to then reactivate...."

            To my knowledge, the single axis autopilot doesn't do anything to control pitch at all, and in my experiences with the Arrow and the Warrior there's no pitch control, which is a big reason I don't fly either one at this point, the pitch is so difficult to control I can't fly or enjoy the PA-28 airframe. Maybe after SU10 it will be better, but not holding my breath. It's nice they have the altitude hold clickspot, but getting to that altitude is a chore I don't enjoy.
