Flying along at say 5000 feet and level (AP on). You get a pressure change and the indicated altitude drops (or rises) by 300 feet. On 6 MSFS 2020 aircraft checked - the altimeter will self-correct to the preset altitude. Maybe I'm wrong but I seem to recall that the TA IV would self-correct as well. However it seems that the altitude just hangs at the incorrect value ever since MSFA update 4 or 5. Am I crazy?

BTW - I have always re-installed the plane with each MSFS update and have the most current version loaded.

In over a year I’ve never seen any altimeter in any plane “autocorrect” itself.

You can easily correct the altimeter to the current local barometric pressure at any time by just pressing [B].
