I updated my Hawk and found that despite the approach fix being included in the bug fixes, the approach button still does not work. ILS programmed in and switched on, switch to NAV and the LOC and GS indicators both showing. But when pressing the Approach button the Hawk neither follows the LOC nor the GS. Please can this be fixed.

@rfpilot Can you confirm that you are tuning the ILS frequency into the ILS rather than TACAN receiver?

Yes, I confirm the ILS has been correctly tuned in and the ILS is selected and not TACAN. The dial shows the correct distance, loc and gs so that is working fine. But the Hawk ignores this when approach selected.

I've just flown an ILS approach in stormy real-world conditions at RAF Valley using v1.1 and it all worked as expected.

I had the ILS 13 frequency tuned into the ILS receiver and mode set to ILS, HSI navigation mode selector set to ILS, and NAV/GPS selector set to NAV.

I intercepted the ILS from below (initial altitude of 2000ft) with altitude and heading hold engaged. I switched to navigation hold to intercept the localiser first and then switched to approach hold once the glideslope indicator moved towards the centre. Altitude hold automatically disengaged and it descended on the ILS, doing a good job of holding it in the stormy conditions.

Thanks Martyn. I must be doing something wrong. Do I need to press the approach button on the efb?

@rfpilot You'll need to engage approach hold via the EFB or using a command assignment (e.g. Ctrl+A).
