I am really tempted to but the Hawk, but am curiius if it's possible to activate random failures? It looks like all the systems have been modelled and described in the manual, but if I can't activate them it would be a major disappointment for me (for this price).

@ronald There is currently no option to trigger specific failures, e.g. failure of the DC generator, however systems can be failed through incorrect configuration of the aircraft, running out of fuel, crashing, shutting down/restarting the engine in flight, depleting hydraulic pressure etc. It will also respond to an engine fire triggered through the MSFS failures menu.

The systems depth is there to allow you to simulate the day-to-day flight operations rather than rare non-normal situations, and the failures mentioned above all fall under that category, meaning that you have to operate the aircraft correctly (i.e. as per the extensive checklists) to avoid issues.

We will certainly consider adding in failure triggers if there's sufficient demand but it's not been a popular feature when we've done it in the past and I've not seen any other requests for it on the Hawk yet.

@gabe777 There is a limited failures tab on the aircraft menu.
