@biokerozen The GPS 100 is currently display-only, you have to enter a flight plan in the world map and it will show up (I think). But the only buttons that work are the ones that change the page, so you cant enter waypoints or go direct or anything. I think they said it's because a limitation of the sim, and how flight plans are managed.

@vcapra1 Hello, thanks for the answer.
Nevertheless, I reallly don't know why there is a limitation of the sim that impacts the GPS 100 and not the others GPS.
GPS 100 is a grandmother compared to newer GSP, it should be easier to developp.
Very disappointed about that, newer GPS are ugly in the PA28, I like older equipments.

I hope it is in the JF's todo list to developp the GPS 100 asap 😕

It sucks to have a cosmetic GPS ! 😲

It's somewhat usable if the flight plan is pre-planned.
But I should be possible to use it to divert, for example...

The other problem I have with this unit is that it's barely readable in VR. I'm forced to lean on the right seat to somewhat read it. Hopefully the copilot isn't present !!

In regards to it being 'Display only' The technique i use is no way ideal but works well to make it usable.

The PMS50 GTN 750 Mod has a panel mode where the GPS screen will display as a 2D panel on your screen like the VFR map does. What i have done in the past is load up the GTN 2D panel, input/change my plan which then syncs to the GPS 100 in the Arrow cockpit meaning i don't have to worry about using the default planner or not being able to change my plan after loading in.
IIRC switching cockpit modes to the GNS or GTN, changing your plan and going back to the GPS100 also works.

As i said not ideal and a bit immersion breaking but does allow the GPS100 to be some use

@tacot ok you found a way to duct tape the use of the GPS100. Nothing against you of course, but as you said, it ruins the immersion and when paying 37.95€, I expect to have usable equipment. Why modelling the GPS100 if it is just cosmetic ?? 😕

I really hope to have this GPS working soon.

When I want to fly the Arrows using old school navigating with VOR's and NDB's I'll use the G100 to provide me with information about windspeed and direction AND most importantly the tracking direction when flying with a crosswind.

There's other info there as well about ground speed, GPS location etc
