ILS 750

I am trying to use the 750 in the turbo IV i am unsure if i need to leave the auto pilot switch in nav mode or do i need to change to lock norm

or do i change the cdi to vlock from gps and put the ils frequency in nav radio
i have tried the latter in that past and put the auto pilot in to loc norm i can see the nav 1 needle move but the auto pilot ignores it and just keeps flying on the last trajectory (the frequency was properly identified)

i am not sure if i need to manually activate the approach in the 750 or if it will do it automatically

think i have just answered my own question there was an update for the 750 2.0.5 and this time changing the cdi to vlock and the auto pilot to loc norm it did follow the nav 1 needle and line up correctly with the runway
