GNS530/430 stays black

When starting cold&dark (state saving off), usually it was sufficient to turn on the battery switch to get the GNS530/430 combo to boot.
Now (I think since SU5), the GNS don't turn on at all when following the startup checklists.I always have to use the "Ready for Start" or "Ready for Takeoff" presets on the EFB which then turns on the GNS530/430.
I'm using the pms50 GNS530 mod.
Does anyone have the same issue? Happens for me with the Warrior and Arrow III as well.
Like there is some hidden avionics bus switch that I can't turn on manually but is switched on when using the presets on the EFB. -
@copper I found recently that the GNS 530 on the Warrior actually has an on/off volume switch. I had to turn it on the first time, but it seems to retain its state, so haven't had to muck with it since. it's the top little button switch, I think it has a C on it. And on the Warrior you have to turn on the Avionics switch, which is just to the right of the copilot yoke, to the left of the fan switch.

Oh my, you're right. I know these knobs but since they usually kept their state, I never had to use them anymore. Seems like some of the updates (SU5 or the addon's) set it to off.
What I find interesting is that these tiny knobs return to the "off" position when pressing "cold&dark" on the EFB but the GNS still turn on with the avionics master switch. So it seems like the updated stated of these knobs to turn off the GNSes doesn't properly propagate to the units.

Yeah, thanks! I've seen it on the checklist but couldn't find it. It has no highlight function when pressing the "eye" button in the checklist, hard to find. But it is "on" for me when starting cold&dark for some reason, I think it should be "off".
When pressing "Cold&Dark" preset button in the EFB it correctly turns off.
Maybe it was just to make sure people don't run into the issue of this button being off.
But again, this is also a bit inconsistent, I'd expect the cold&dark preset to create the same state as I find when loading on a parking position. -
I have also an issue with the Arrow and Turbo Arrows with also the GNS 530 / 430 staying black, even when I use the buttons Ready for Start or Ready for Takeoff the panels stay black. I also turned the volume knobs but that didnt fix it either. Already did a complete new fresh install of the sim and just these 3 aircraft since I have the bundle but no luck they stay black. Btw . the panels do work since I can communicate with the tower, and when on the the GPS map it does say zoom in and out just that the screens remain completely dark.
If anyone has an idea please let me know.
