Turbo Arrow Autopilot
-
I'm having issues with my Turbo Arrow since the update. I have fully updated the sim, both hotfixes and also all content manager, also emptied the cache.
I don't have these issues with the regular Arrow, but whenever I engage the auto pilot, no matter if its on GPS or heading track, the yoke slowly but increasingly rolls to the right until the aircraft is effectively in a spiral dive. I have to disengage the autopilot to recover the aircraft before a crash.
Tried all different concoctions of auto pilot and GPS units and flights but it keeps doing it.
Any ideas? I'm eager to get it sorted as I'm part way into a round the world tour using the Arrow (Turbo) and want to continue with this aircraft as its so great in the sim! -
For me this doesn't happen the first time I use the autopilot in a flight (don't have state saving enabled).
But at some point after I disengage and reengage the autopilot (using my Joystick button mapped to autopilot master switch), suddenly the same thing happens (although banking left instead of right).I then disengage the AP immediately, cycle the coupler to both sides through all modes and disable and enable HDG mode again and cycle the CDI (to VLOC and back to GPS or vice versa).
When re-engaging AP, it works well.
Later on in the flight the same happened again and the steps helped getting it back to work.@crosrm63 Do you have state saving enabled? I think at some point when disengaging the autopilot, it ends up in some weird state. Once it's the case, (re-)engaging it will result in the spiral until you use the coupler or HGD switch (not sure which of them recovers the situation) to reset this invalid state.
EDIT: Added the CDI cycling since that was also an action I did when trying to get it back to work.

@copper thanks for the answer. Yes sounds the same as me. Yes I do have state saving enabled as I'm on the world tour so wanted realistic oil usage and condition wear and tear etc. So sounds like I may have to turn it off and cycle the state switch for the ap and it should work? I'll give it a try later.
Is there a way to report this as a bug to JF (@JFAdmin)? -

It worked for me once the AP was in that state during the flight, not sure if it helps in case the issue appears with state saving right from the beginning, but give it a try. The symptoms seem to be the same and state saving would explain that.

Martyn is reading the forums, but to make sure the bug is logged, you should create a support ticket:
