    Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to www.fspilotshop.com. The web site is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the web site’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

Your computer clock is set to 30/05/2019. Make sure your computer is set to the correct date, time, and time zone in your system settings, and then refresh www.fspilotshop.com.

If your clock is already set to the right time, the web site is likely misconfigured, and there is nothing you can do to resolve the issue. You can notify the web site’s administrator about the problem.

This is what you get from both sites, useing either Firefox or Google Chrome.

FS Pilot shop's one expired on 29/5 (yesterday). Flightsim.com's is valid until December. FSPS probably just need to renew their cert.

  • @Derek

Have you any suggestions as to how I get my JF aircraft validated?

I forgot the best one of the lot.
    PR9 Canberra.

  • JF Staff

@AutoSetup Not sure what you mean by validated? If you want to get it working and you have bought a copy from a site other than ours you'll have been sent a keycode. You need to download the files from the original site and enter the key you were given when prompted. That will then activate the product via our server.

  • @Derek
If I can't log on to FSPS, I cant get a re-activation code. The site doesn't exist.

Are you saying you can access it?

Which of the two sites, FS store or FSPS, were active on Flightsim, in the 2016/17 period. My memory doesn't stretch that far.

  • JF Staff

@AutoSetup I can get on both sites. Working fine. Just that one has a cert that's 24h out of date. Not a big deal, given that they are a reputable company. Probably just an oversight.

  • @Derek

    I get this.
Web sites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for www.fspilotshop.com appears to be expired.

    View Certificate
    Do you not see this?

I checked my Paypal from 2017.

4 transactions for FSPS, but also 2 from Just Flight, which means I must have an account with you, but it doesn't recognize my email.

  • JF Staff

@AutoSetup Your best bet would be to contact Just Flight support for your Just Flight products. We don't want to be going through personal details on a forum.

As for the security cert it is only 24hrs out of date and I can't see the problem. You just need to log in to the account and get your software. You won't need to pay them again.

  • @Derek

OK, I'm in. As you say, perfectly reputable site.

Thanks for your prompt reply and help.
All the free downloads have expired, but I backed up most of them, so I just needed the keys.

    Thanks again.

  • JF Staff

They have now renewed their security cert.

  • @Derek

All 4 of my aircraft were updated in 2017 by JF.

Free downloads from FSPS have expired, so I can't update these files.

Is there a way to do this through JF.

  • JF Staff

Sorry - don't follow. What free downloads? Are they charging you for the files? If JF has done something for you in 2017 it may be best to contact Just Flight support. They'll be able to see what you mean.

  • JF Staff

I believe FS Pilot Shop only grant you access to your purchases for 1 year. After that you have to pay a nominal fee to get access (for another year I presume).

  • JF Staff

@Rich Sounds like that has happened in the past and our support has sorted it out. Worth contacting them again.

seems bizarre to charge for re-downloading over time. Quantity/frequency might make more sense if you want to save bandwidth.

  • @Derek

Re-downloads from JF are free, unlimited.

FSPS sell you the original link to access the JF site aircraft. This link has an expiry date. This link is then cut after a time period.

They then charge you $4.95 to re activate that link to JF to obtain another D/L.

So to update my 4 aicraft to the upgraded versions, (2017), would cost me $19.80, or stick with what I've got.

  • JF Staff

Not for the first time, I'm just left wondering why people don't just buy their stuff from us?
You get unlimited downloads for free forever, and we've been around and offering downloads longer than pretty much everyone else in the industry so I think you can buy with a certain amount of confidence. We also offer loyalty points so those purchases from us would not only not have cost you any extra money getting hold of updates, but they would have actually saved you a few quid along the way.

I've asked our support team to drop you a message and see if they can help you out.

  • JF Staff

@AutoSetup I have now PM'd you the details you need for this, with the instructions on what to do.

  • @Craig-Haskell

    Wow! Thanks a lot.
The DC-8 10-40, was my first ever payway, having relied on freeware for the past 15 years.
This aircraft consigned most of them to history.
I used it to practice ILS approaches into Kai Tak and made a couple of videos of the event.

The Tristar Pro, was a step up and continued my interest in getting into KaiTak, (more videos) and various military bases in UK using the DLC.
It became my favourite aircraft, untill..............

    I got the Canberra!!!
The cockpit in this is astounding. I couldn't stop looking around it, at nuts and wires etc. It has the smell of old pilots, you would expect from an aircraft of this era. The sound is superb.
Probably the most difficult jet to fly correctly I've ever used. I did about a hundred ILS landings, mostly into Bentwaters and Hurn, before I felt it was good enough to make a video. Fantastic!

All I'm missing now is my 4th aircraft, DH 104, which I used for practicing ILS into Hurn and the Tristar livery pack, also lost in my HDD failure..

    Thanks again.

  • @AutoSetup

    For future reference.

If you buy from fspilotshop, you will get 20 free re-downloads, which must be used within 1 year.
There is no reference to this fact before you buy and the link will be closed. You have to pay $4.95 to re-open it.
If there is an update to the product it will be opened for another free year. Product activation codes are always available.
Backup the file and there will be no problem, but if, like me, you lose your HDD, you have to pay to re-open each link.
With Store Flightsim, I don't know their policy, because you don't know it before you buy.
