Approaches

Prior to the disaster called an Update last week on MSFS (lol), I was able to do an ILS landing, and have my Arrow III basically auto-land it self. The AC would slow down on it's own, landing gear would deploy 2.4-2.5 miles from the end of the runway, and the AC would gently float on down.
Now, with the new MSFS update and version 9 of the Arrow III, that feature is gone. I have read in the manual that the pilot control's the glideslope, not the auto pilot. However, it WAS controlling it.
Did a bug get fixed? Or is there something I can edit to bring back that functionality?
I've tried using the Procedures on the autopilot, however, I each time I click on Activate Approach it just sits there.

@davidcrum The AP only controls the plane laterally, so it would never be able to fly an approach on its own (it'll follow the LOC, but not the GS). JF have included an altitude hold function but that won't follow a glideslope or even follow a vertical speed. It certainly won't put gear down on its own.
It sounds like you were using the AI pilot (a feature of MSFS which was drastically changed in SU5). Now you have to select a destination and tell it to take control.
