If you use a trim wheel the elevator trim is reversed compared to other aircraft. This was a bit of a shock the first time - instant Stuka mode. :)

I just flew today, the trim wheel was more sensitive than normal, but I've been reading that in the MSFS forums for all aircraft, but it moved in the correct direction for me, maybe check your bindings?

@katchaplin It's not the bindings, I have to set up a new profile for the Warrior (and the Arrow) that reverses the binding. Every other a/c is the other way round as it was before the update. (Trim axis on TWCS Throttle).

I had already turned down the sensitivity curve (a lot) before the update, which is still fine.

@Wildthing The trim is working correctly for me with the default bindings. Just to be clear, you're saying that when you input nose up trim the nose goes down instead? Or just that the wheel turns in the wrong direction?

@vcapra1 When I tell it to pitch up the plane actually pitches down.

Trim is working correctly for me also, sensitive is perfect with Bravo Throttle after the XBox patch.

@wildthing I also found the elevator trim axis
setting had to be reversed and I also established a separate Saitek Cessna trim wheel profile for the Just Flight PA28 aircraft.

@wildthing I too am having issue with the elevator trim axis being reversed relative to other MSFS aircraft. This became an issue only after the MSFS Update 5. I appreciate having the update/fix from Just Flight on Aug. 8th; however, it did not address the elevator trim axis reversed issue. I have installed a Flight Velocity Trim Wheel.

That is weird, it is working correctly for me and I've got all default bindings.

Try using the mouse wheel to scroll up/down on the actual trim wheel in the VC. When you scroll UP, the wheel should rotate forward, and the nose should go down.

@vcapra1 Are you using an analogue axis for trim or buttons? I (and I suspect @sdvpilot) have the trim set to an axis, mine is a potentiometer on the TWCS throttle.

@wildthing Ah, that could be it, I use the buttons. Even the trim wheel I have on the Bravo sends "button" commands when it rotates.

I also have this reversed trim wheel issue since SU5. Have latest Arrow. I use a Flight Velocity trim wheel. It works as it should in my other planes.

@rene-feijen The external analog elevator trim axis direction assignment on all of the JF MSFS PA28 aircraft for the Saitek Cessna Trim Wheel controller appears to be reversed with respect to its assignment on stock aircraft since SU5. If it set correctly for other aircraft turning the external trim wheel nose up has has the opposite effect in the JF aircraft. It did not change with the latest JF update. Something had to change in SU5 to cause this to happen because one setting worked for all previously. I have found it necessary to create a separate controller profile for the JF aircraft.
However a trim switch assignment for nose up and nose down works as expected.
