    @anderson Was it working before SU5? What function you used to assign the alternate air (carb. heat) to the physical button?
    I hoped that 0.9.0 update will fix this - unfortunatelly - the issue is still present in 0.9.0.
    The:
    ANTI_ICE_SET (0,1)
    when assigned produces sounds of moving the Alternate Air lever, but the lever in the cockpit is not moving and I can't see any impact on engine RPM or mainfold pressure.
    Even operatin the lever by the mouse (the Alt. Air. lever moving then) has no effect on the engine. Should It be like that? I have no experience with constant speed prop., in simple plane with fixed prop the RPM drops when carb. heat is enabled.

    @steku I have tried many different options but none of them have worked as expected though. I have opened a ticket.

    Having the exact same issue. This was most definitely working before SU5, as I had assigned buttons via SPAD.next to ANTI_ICE_SET_ENG1, alternating between 0 and 1. Now the exact same command does update relevant simvars in the background and even generating the button sounds, but the button animation itself no longer works. MSFS cockpit is set to legacy mode.

    Hoping that @anderson's ticket has a happy ending.

    @zeppos

    If you contact Just Flight support they can look into the matter for you.

    @steku said in Alternate air control lever not moving:

    Turning alternate air ON does bypasses the air filter and provides heated air to the engine intake manifold, but because this engine is fuel injected, and has a constant speed prop, you won't see any change in RPM like you would with a simple carburated engine with a fixed pitch prop.

    @retiredman93231 Is there any (noticeable) effect on manifold pressure and/or EGT?

    @corvus5624 No, not that I am aware of. The unfiltered heated air is not really hot enough to affect the EGT. It might reduce the manifold pressure slightly, but not enough to really notice.

    @retiredman93231 Using hot (less dense) air should in principle reduce engine power, as there is less oxygen in the cylinder. I was wondering if this had any effect on the engine parameters. I think it should have, but perhaps it is simply not modeled?

    @corvus5624 You are correct, but the RPM won't change regardless, because it is being maintained by the constant speed prop.

    @derek Thanks a lot, ticket submitted. I'll post an update here to all if anything comes up.

    @zeppos any update on that ticket?

    @Derek, the last update was released back Aug 5th. It means the Arrow family is no longer a top priority for Just Flight?

    @anderson
    We don't release upodates for our products to a timetable. If something is broken and can be fixed, or something can be enhanced or an update to the host game means a change is required, then we will release an update. The regularity of updates bears little relation to the priority of the product. Also, I guess it depends what you mean by priority. For some of our team, the priority is for stuff that we haven't released yet. Others are working on stuff we released some years ago.

    @anderson The ticket was resolved with the understanding that the issue has been passed to the dev team to investigate and that "A fix will likely be included in the next update to the Arrow III (for MSFS)", without an ETA. That's good enough for me.
