It shows you the flightplan that you loaded in the World Map.

Not yet. The SDK doesn’t currently allow for that.
I highly doubt that. The GNS430/GN530 can do that, so the SDK is supporting it even if it might not be completely documented.

Well at least that's how it works. Not sure if it is work in progress or the definitive way to work with the GNS100. I'm not using it since I don't use the MSFS world map to plan my flight but rather want to input it manually.

Note that flightplans also can be made with 3rd party flightplanners like LittleNavMap etc.

But they cannot be loaded manually into the GNS100, you still have to load or create them in the World Map of MSFS.
You also cannot reroute or change anything on the plan while inflight which basically makes the GNS100 worthless for realistic flying. -

Just note that the G100 is from a time where GPS navigation wasn´t allowed as the prime navigation instrument flying IFR.For IFR flying You do not need a GPS, but can solely rely on NDB, VOR, Localiser and Glideslope in conjunction with IFR maps and approach charts.
It seems that some people believe that the only means of IFR flying is by using a GPS.
I hope though that the G100 will be further developed to accept manual entry of flightplans etc.

I like the Garmin 100, I fly VFR anyway, and that little unit has a wealth of information on it. Winds, temps, different altitudes (MSL, DALT) and Ground speed and others. Very handy.
I KNOW the GNS's do it all too, but the Garmin 100 is not there just for show, it has a purpose.
