Turkey Intl at Istanbul

@Flyer626 said in Turkey Intl at Istanbul:
I read a post that JF had updated TG to include this airport after that date.
You have to edit the plans yourself to get LTFM traffic.

The replace ICAO code does not work may be fixed in the next update, when this year sometime hopefully. -
how do you edit plans when the airport does not exist in TG, step by step instructions would be helpful in this instance, not just a photo.
-
it was submitted a long long time ago and is still open or pending
-
I am just not sure what you did with this new update. Istanbul airport LTFM still does not appear in any database so it cannot be substituted in any flight plans. Am I correct or is there some way that I don't know to correct this so I can have traffic at this new airport.
-
Do you have an answer Rich for this issue or Derek?
-
OK, I substituted LTBA with LTFM,, new airport and then recompiled and the schedule still shows LTBA not LTFM
-
The problem, as stated earlier, is that the airport isn't in P3D. I am fairly sure there is a way round it, as Ray says, but you will need to contact JF support. It may be that the instructions are not clear enough.
You can raise a ticket here:

instructions are fine, it took the substitution no errors, I will contact support to see if there is a way around this. Any new airport that might be under construction or the new Berlin airport I guess might not work either

I looked further into this issue and found that the developer's installer never place the .bgl file into the simulators scenery, in this case world/scenery file. I manually pasted them in and I now have static aircraft at the airport along with some departures, so far I have not seen any arrivals yet. Some progress has now been made. At least I see movement at this airport.

I see arrivals so this issue is now resolved. I just want to thank Ray and Derek for giving me a hint to where to find the problem. Thanks guys
