BAe 146 Runway Performance

  • I created a BAe146 and AVRO RJ runway performance spreadsheet which is available on AVSIM if anyone is interested. It has been designed to allow users to simulate the runway requirements of the British Aerospace 146 / Avro RJ range of aircraft. It will now automatically apply the correct runway lengths and airfield elevations once the appropriate airfield ICAO designation is used. It allows users to simulate the type of flight planning procedures used by pilots and provides a realistic indication of the types of limitations imposed by runway length and conditions including weather, altitude and surface conditions. Its purpose is to make the flight planning and operation of the aircraft more realistic, satisfying and professional. Users will need a suitable spreadsheet program in order to open the file. I use OPEN OFFICE which is freeware.
I must confess that the spreadsheet was created originally using the RJ aircraft weights, but as these are very similar to the 146 then the performance criteria still seem valid. When Just Flight release their RJ version I will update the spreadsheet to match the weights and loadings.

The spreadsheet is in the AVSIM P3DV5 Utilities section entitled:
