@alanbyrne94 Pleased to report the Jota repaint is starting to take shape (the repaint kit is an absolute pig to work with!) - I'll hopefully get this finished off over the weekend and copied across onto the 300QT too!

Excellent, big thanks! Just as slight correction to the readme file ...
- Copy the "texture.blue1" folder to your 'SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-300' folder in P3Dv4
That probably should read JF_146-200 !

Hi @Martyn
can you ask the modeler or the person who made the paint kit how best to achieve a straight line that runs on the belly of the fuselage, as I cannot see a clear way to get straight lines with the paint kit as is.
as an example here is the BA paint against the UV lines. not sure how to paint straight lines as shown?
Sure, here's the reply:
Use the pen tool in photoshop to draw a line where you think the colour boundary should be, Put an anchor point over each vertical UV map line (where the polygons join in loops along the fuselage). When you have worked across the fuselage area you intent to paint, complete the line by looping back to the start with a few more anchor points, This should create a path which can be filled with a block colour, with the anchor points sitting on the vertical edge loops. It'll take a number of passes saving out the image, but all that is needed is to adjust the anchor points vertically on the image, refill the loop, have a look at the model and keep adjusting the anchor points until it looks right.

I would like to see cobham aviation 146-300QT (and why not -200/300 too) https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9138278

far from an easy to use paint kit vs the paint kits I have used in the past. I might have to cancel the Thai as it will take too much playing around to get things to line up. Hopefully they can do something in the future with the paint kit and sort the files out to be better organized with a manual.
Anyway I will stick to some simple repaints.
First up Virgin CityJet, I am still playing around to get a feel for the paint kit, will hopefully have a full repaint to show off tonight:

still mucking about with colours but giving up for tonight as the paintkit is proving to win the battle at the moment. CityJet logo had to be made from scratch in photoshop but it appears the paint kit splits horizontally and vertically exactly where I placed it...
anyway tomorrow will fix up the tail and adjust the fuselage to the lighter white shown:

Hi all,
After a wee break (and an upgrade to P3D v5.1), I went into battle again with the JF146 paintkit...I'm not really a painter, but it's a bit of a pig to work with!
Anyway, here's the latest fruits of my labour - Atlantic Airways 146-200 OY-RCB, perfect for those tricky approaches in Vagar in the Faroe Islands! Still a few tweaks to be made but it should be uploaded to the usual freeware outlets in the next few days.
Cheers,
Geordie
