VC10 SUPER Caution Sound on throttle up. I've checked the flaps settings and elevator pitch trim are correct but I get the warning sound as soon as I throttle up. What am I not doing to stop it sounding?

        Please check the following:

        • The flaps are set to the T/O position
        • The tail-plane (elevator) trim is set to between +2 and +7 degrees (the white band on the tail-plane trim indicator)
        • The speed-brake lever is set to fully retracted
        • All PFCUs are on

Can you submit a support ticket? Our support team will get in touch to track down which parameter is 'out of bounds' and causing the warning horn.

Just noticed the trim is not working there are no white marks showing

The trim indicator is on the centre panel, below the left slat position indicator. It has a single white needle and there is a white banded area which indicates where the trim should be set for takeoff.

I've just given it a quick test here and it is working OK for me, but we'll get back to your ticket ASAP.

@Martyn wasn't it a requirement for one of the stall warning systems to be operative?
