v1.1.1.8

  • No flight plans in TG for LIML, if you start TG then open traffic global flight plans in the main window select departure airport tab listing them form A-Z, scroll down to check any airport code to see if it contains plans for your airport, there are less plans in the database now than before.

That will be because the database was compiled in 2019:

    From Wikipedia:

"From 27 July to 27 October 2019, Linate was closed for runway resurfacing and terminal upgrades. The latter project is expected to continue after the airport's reopening, concluding some time in 2021. During this closure, most flights were rerouted to Malpensa, displacing approximately 2.5 million passengers."

there are less plans in the database now than before.

This shouldn't have any relevance to LIML (see above) or the density of traffic in the game. Richard explained this earlier:

Yes, but that isn't the full story. In those databases, lots of those flights were the legs flown by an aircraft to a destination later in the day. For example, if an airline operated a return flight between Stansted and Glasgow that departed Stansted at 6am, then repeated it at 2pm and then again at 10pm, that would have appeared as 6 different flights. Not only that but the 6am flight would have remained sat at the gate whilst another aircraft flies the 2pm leg and then waits at the gate until 2pm the next day whilst another aircraft flies the 10pm leg.
Now the database only lists that flight once, and the same aircraft will fly back and forth during the day completing all the legs itself.
That means that yes the database is smaller, but you're getting less dormant aircraft filling up parking spaces and more legs being flown.

  • Sadly Rich you will not see this in TG now this was December 2019.

You can sit at Heathrow for 10 mins and you may see one aircraft landing or taking off or none at all depending on the time of day, i could cross the channel and see 30 aircraft on my TCAS inside 40 mile range not anymore,
And removing the error screen only means you have to check the compiler errors in the compiler .

That put a lot of plans that will not load in the sim 7,000 out 20,000 not used.

  • The situation is similar at many European airports.
For example, at Frankfurt Airport there are aircraft departures every 5 minutes but arrivals every 30 minutes.

  • @Rich
I found the last two major European airlines missing in the database:
Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Airlines (missing 737).

My last question is how many updates will come in order for Traffic Global to be final? Thanks,
    Martin

  • TG is final and sold as such now, but since 1.1.1.7 some Cargo do not show in P3Dv5 the Fedex A300_600f for example also the A300st, and you see less traffic since 1.1.1.6 in my sim.

  • @Ray-Fry
I know that the TG is almost in its final form, but since the traffic is still low.
Therefore, updates should be continued to address low traffic as some companies and aircraft types are still missing.

  • @martin11
The aircraft i am referring to did show before .7 update but do not show now.

    P3Dv5 EBBR Brussels.

  • This situation is similar at other airports.
For example, in Frankfurt, all a380s are now missing.

  • This is down to the fact that the 380 is now 388 in flight plans again changes made without warning, causing My AI flight plans problems we are going backwards the users is left in the dark.
