NZNV RNAV ATC Change FPL Issues

I was shy of my TOD flying into NZNV on the DUKO7B for the RNAV RW22 when ATC switched my arrival to DUKO6A with the RNAV RW04 from EGANU.
I tried to apply the changes in the MCDU but the DUKO7B and waypoints remained in the FPL instead of the newly selected DUKO6A and I was not able to select a transition for the RNAV RW04.
To cut a long story short, trying to delete and adjust the waypoints manually caused FPL mayhem leading me to shutdown the flight.
