    Hello,

      The ATS will reengage if:

      • The aircraft enters the amber speed bar (VMA) and the VMA protection triggers.
      • TOGA levers are triggered
      • The ATS is manually re-engaged (either via the ATS push button, or control assignment)

      Hope that helps.

Isnt the VMA too high? I always load flightplan and weights with simbrief.
F100 below 30to is significantly higher than the VApp speed

I've just done a quick test with the F100 at 30,000 kg, and VMA looks correct. In the following screenshot, VMA is approximately 128, and the VREF for flaps 0 is 134.

VMA does vary with flap position, as well as the weights entered in the FMS.

@Mark thanks for reply, I know it varies with weight and flap setting.
But look at my example picture, the VMA is higher than the Vref speed, therefor the ATS kicks in way too early1.jpg

For the Fokker 100/70, Vref is Vma + 5 + wind correction. The applicable Vma is calculated by the FCC(Flight Control Computer); the Vref value displayed on the FMC/Landing Data cards serves merely as a reference.

@Photonenbremse For reference, ok. But I doubt the reference is off by around 10 knots

In real life, the difference between FCC and speed card would be up to 5 kt.
