I'm starting to (finally) fly the RJ and wanted to ask why the RJ85 has such a long takeoff distance, compared to the RJ70 and RJ100 or if this is a typo?
Thanks
There's a couple of things here, I think:
They've got the distance in metres correct but mixed up between the RJ85 and the RJ100 ... RJ85 should be 1380m and the RJ100 should be 1509m
The conversion from feet to metres is wrong: 1509m is actually 4950ft (not 6725ft)!
Cheers!
