Hello Just Flight team and community,

I am a repainter and I am currently working on retro AI traffic packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020. Besides repainting aircraft, I have also created several retro flightplans, mainly based on the year 2005.

I am interested in using FS Traffic as the traffic injector for these retro traffic packages, but before purchasing it I would like to clarify a few things:

    Third-party AI models
My aircraft models are mainly from AIG and FSLTL. Is it possible to use these third-party AI models with FS Traffic by assigning the correct Title= entries from the aircraft.cfg files?

    Importing FSX/AIFP-style flightplans
My flightplans are currently available in the classic FSX/AIFP format as:

    • Aircraft.txt
    • Airports.txt
    • FlightPlans.txt

Can FS Traffic import these files directly, or what would the required FS Traffic schedule file structure/format look like for custom imports?

    Separate year/database for retro schedules
Since my flightplans are from 2005, is it possible to add an additional year or separate database entry in FS Traffic, so that my retro schedules do not overwrite or mix with the default FS Traffic schedules?

    Paint kits
Are the FS Traffic paint kits freely accessible for customers, and are repaints allowed to be created and shared for the FS Traffic AI models?

Thank you very much in advance for your help. I would really like to know whether FS Traffic could be used as a suitable injector/platform for a retro AI traffic project.

        @santos

Sorry for delay in reply but the enquiry is a bit beyond the scope of the forum I think and no forum users seem to have replied. In brief:
        Yes
        No
Don't think so but might be possible in a limited way
        Yes

In more detail, yes you can import other aircraft to use with FS Traffic - caveat being there must be a schedule.

No - you have to use the MSFS style flightplans. You can do this via the Traffic Control,Centre IIRC. More details in the manual which can be downloaded from the JF website.

Not really possible. You can switch between databases AFAIK, but it starts getting complicated if you want to tinker about with a global schedule.

Paint kits - yes, these are available.
