Mapping BKSQ switches not shown in MSFS2024 to Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo
-
Hi,
I'm trying to map certain switches of BKSQ airplanes to my Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo that do not have an equivalent/corresponding function in MSFS2024.
Example: In the BKSQ Barons, I would love to map the L/R fuel pump, the panel light, the Flood (glareshield) light, the Propeller sync switch (etc.). The issue is that they don't seem to have a corresponding setting within the MSFS2024 control menu.
Just to clarify, I otherwise have no issue with mapping other (in MSFS2024 supported functions) to my controllers, this is only about switches specific to the BKSQ planes.I assume I have to go the way that cockpit builders are going and use the variables listed in the manuals (in the Baron one, starting on page 141) for Hardware Inputs & Outputs, but I have no experience and I'm not sure how to do this - can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot!
Chuck

Things like LVars, HVars, etc. need external programs to map them to controllers, the base sim can't do it.
Mobiflight is a free tool that does that and has quite the community sourced library of variables already set up. I've never used it to speak to how easy it is to use.
There is also FSUIPC, which I use, but has a rather dated UI and it's very manual. There's also SPAD.Next and Axes and Ohs, all of which are payware and come recommended by their users.

Thanks - I really appreciate the response. I did some more digging today and have now downloaded SPAD.Next (14 day trial) and found some good examples online.
