I don't know why I just thought of this. But has it crossed your mind to make a twin otter in the future?... We could really use a good one in the sim.

@django1489 I'll reiterate: we could really use a good one in the sim.

@SadBucket but the default one is fine no? I agree it needs a cargo and skydive variant and maybe some engine sound overhaul. But otherwise it seems ok to me. Whats your take?

I'm not sure how you want me to answer this. When you are buying a black square plane, you are not just buying pretty sounds and visuals. You are also fortunate enough to get fully simulated systems to an absurd level of detail, fully simulated flight model, fully simulated performance, and an accurate failure simulation. As it stands the default twin otter flight model is atrocious, there is extremely basic and mostly broken systems logic, no accurate simulation of avionics, no failure simulation, completely inaccurate turboprop simulation, completely inaccurate aircraft performance, I suppose "ok" visuals, yes the sounds are not great, and of course no failures simulated... As it stands, the default twin otter is not even worth touching for me in the sim. I understand this may sound as "elitist" to claim I won't use a default msfs plane, but in reality I buy and fly black square along with other talented developers aircraft due to the realism and fidelity those planes offer when compared to flying in real life. All I mean to say is that it would be nice to get the black square treatment on the twin otter for those who wish to use it as a real world procedural trainer or are huge aviation nerds and appreciate the realism details that black square aircraft offer...

@SadBucket agreed on those points. Hopefully they do someday. I really like the default caravan though many people complain of it, but what i disliked in it was the face glow of the screens. Gauges with their night glow is always more soothing amd more challenging. So i am looking forward to black squares. Not to forget, the added systems depth and simulations ofcourse
