Rotating beacon
-
Is it just me or is the rotating beacon on top of the vertical stablizer sort of disconnected from the plane? It's very apparent on the ground, with the engine running. It's like the vertical stabilizer moves under it, but the beacon is fixed.

@Cristi-Neagu Yes, I noticed this too, couple of days ago.

The rotating beacon looks right to me... The light bulb is located right in the middle of the red beacon housing.

@RetiredMan93231 Yes, but it looks to me like the red beacon housing is sort of floating on top of the tail. Like i said, have the engine running on the ground at idle, and look at the beacon.

@vcapra1 Look at this video: https://youtu.be/IMYRG_wFBZY?t=86 See how the beacon seems to be disconnected from the tail?

Ah, i see. This is more of an issue with MSFS's graphics engine. Sometimes when an object is moving, the edges get "mushy", and this can make objects look like they're lagging behind. If you zoom in the effect is lessened just because the beacon is larger relative to its perimeter.
I suspect there is nothing JF can do about this. I'm not sure if Asobo are going to address it since it's not very widespread (I've only seen it in a handful of cases), but maybe it will be fixed with DX12 and the performance updates in the Summer.
I think it happens more with translucent objects which would explain it's appearance here. I've seen it with shades in other aircraft and other places too (I can't remember any specifics but I'll keep an eye out)
