In addition to the GNS 430/530, you'll soon have the option of the PMS50 GTN 750 too.

@Martyn Excellent addition. Only wondering what "soon" might mean... ;)

    "GNS430 or 530", or "GNS430 and 530"? :D
Don't get me wrong, i think adding the 750 is absolutely great. But i would like to see an option for having both the 530 and 430 on at the same time, with the 430 replacing the second COM/NAV unit.

Personally, I haven't found a big need for having the second NAV/COM be very sophisticated

For me it's mostly to do with the standby frequencies. Also, i would use the COM2 transceiver a lot more if not for the bugged audio panel which blocks me from listening to two frequencies at the same time.

Using v0.3.0, I'm able to listen to both COM1 and COM2 at the same time. I'm currently listening to both Cambridge and Stansted ATIS.

@Martyn Can you please try with the GNS530? I'll try with the classic radio stack asap.

It's working correctly here using the GNS 530 too.

@Martyn, I am still unable to hear COM1 and COM2 at the same time... I can only hear COM2 when the MIC switch is in the COM2 position. I tried with both radio stacks.

I am testing it at KLAX with119.80 (Tower) tuned on COM1, and 133.80 (ATIS) tuned on COM 2...

@Martyn Tried at Heathrow, with COM2 on ATIS and MIC on COM1 on ground and i can't hear the ATIS.
Interestingly, when i click the audio panel switch for COM1, i hear lots of clicking. Sounds like the sound you get when turning the GNS530 knobs. But i don't get this sound when clicking the COM2 switch. That sounds like a regular click.
So... not sure how to explain this...
Looks like every time something changes the COM1 state, i get knob clicks. AUTO has knob clicks with COM1 in the middle. MIC has knob clicks with either AUTO or COM1 away from middle.

@Martyn I have removed the GNS530 mod and i'm getting the exact same behaviour. Weird thing is that if i move MIC to COM2, go to the ATC panel and select ATIS for COM2, i hear the ATIS and the ATIS frequency disappears. This is with the COM2 switch on the audio panel set to PHONE. But if i move MIC to COM1 and change nothing else, i stop hearing COM2 and the ATIS frequencies pop back up in the ATC panel like i tuned COM2 to some other frequency. Looks like internally COM2 is losing its frequency. The exact same thing happens with COM1.

I can confirm that works fine here too so it looks like that should be addressed by the next update.

I must admit that a GNS 530/430 stack would be awesome!

@Martyn Really glad to see you're picking up the GTN750 development!
I wonder what was the consideration to put the GPS 100 aside of it.
Doesn't seem like a useful stack to me and I'd rather like to have the setup like the GNS530 and either a larger GTN750 screen (not sure if they are built larger) or simply a cover for the bottom slot which otherwise is occupied by the transponder.

Anyway, looking forward to try it out. :)

It does look very nice but a little odd. You've spent a lot of money getting a GTN750 installed but have penny pinched on leaving the old nav/com 2 radio and ADF :) Would be cool to have the option of more modern units to go with the GTN.

@FrontSideBus Yeah, i'd rather get a GNS530+430 stack than a single GTN750 with those antique radios...

Best thing imo is to have different options as there are different tastes and preferences out there... for me, to have the old radios plus old GPS is absolutely OK, but I prefer to go with the GNS530 option (modded, of course)... If they come up with a GTN750 option I will rather go with it for sure, and I could maybe switch back to the GNS530 if I could have the option to pare it with a 430 as secondary NAV/COM...

I personally prefer to have modern systems in an old airplane than flying with vintage, old looking instruments... but sure thing there is a lot of people out there that prefer just the opposite... the more options Just Flight is able to offer the more people is going to be potentially interested in their products...

@RaulKO Indeed, having the options is a very good feature of the JF Arrow!
Sometimes it's nice to not have GPS and just old-school it. Quite satisfying doing old school vor-vor flights and doing your own DME arcs ect.
