Not able to engage ILS

I have tried everything. Read the manual, watched YouTube’s and searched the forums. Have been successfully using all the autopilot modes up until I try to engage the ILS. The APP (LAND) button will not engage (light up) and take over guidance. I believe I have met all the criteria including selecting correct frequency, within range on good approach angle and altitude, etc., but must be doing something wrong.

With the help of ChatGPT, I have the answer to what I was missing. I was not selecting APP as the navigation source on the EFIS. All worked as designed on my last flight and ILS approach.
