Velocity Issues in MSFS 2024

Hi. I just picked this up during the sale and I've noted a couple of immediate issues.

The audio is essentially missing. You can hear just about nothing aircraft-related.

The EGT & TIT(?) Temperatures are nearly always extremely hot unless the engine is barely working.
Otherwise, I really am enjoying the Velocity. I'd seen one flying pretty low overhead a month or so ago and was smitten by how it sounded and how stinking fast it was going!
I'm running SU6 Beta, if that makes any difference here.

Ok. I've learned I need the Extra 330 installed for the audio, so I solved that.
I've also learned that this monster has dual superchargers, so is that the cause of the high temps, and one must be diligent in their management?

@NixonRedgrave Glad you figured out the sound. Sorry for the delay. The temperature regulation problems have more to do with the lack of mass air movement through large forward-facing inlets, but rather just those two NACA ducts on the top of the aircraft. This is a typical problem with pusher aircraft, including the Skymaster. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you! Always happy to help!

This is a huge part of the fun of this aircraft!
In all my flights I don't go all out at first, even during takeoff you can climb like a rocket with 75% throttle. During climb you can change the prop pitch and once your workload is reduced, start leaning the mixture. Leaning is the fun part, you enable the engine page in the G3X to keep an eye on things and use both the throttle and mixture. When you lean, you can't just lean, there's a peak when the temperatures go in the red. So you have to reduce the throttle as you lean, and once you're past the peak you can increase the throttle again. Afterwards, it's a mini-game to increase the throttle while leaning and still stay in the orange or green range. Different altitudes will require different values, and also it depends what fuel flow you're targetting.
Another mini-game is to nail the fuel predictions in your LittleNavMap flight plan, so you watch your FF as you're doing all this (download the Velocity performance figures for LittleNavMap).
During the flight, you watch your ground speed with satisfaction as you eek out the best performance from the aircraft while staying within the desired temps. Between this and all the GNT 750 features, there's hardly any time to look outside, only really on 1h+ flights.
