AFCAS MODE Warning message
-
I also have this...any idea why we're receiving this?
-
Might just be me but it also seems to effect the co-pilot call outs on the turnaround flight with this AFCAS MODE message, no call outs for flap and gear extension
-
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I've also seen this occur at the end of a flight, but it's proved a bit of a tricky one to track down with it not occurring every flight! We do have it logged on our internal track, ers and we are actively investigating it.
With regards to co-pilot callouts, the AFCAS MODE warning shouldn't have any effect on them. For reference, the triggers for all the announcements/callouts can be found here: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000151473-pilot-callouts-and-cabin-announcements-explained

I've this since the preview - Usually comes up at turnaround on my end. And i can confirm, that the callouts are sometimes missing afterwards on my end too.

From what I can see it is connected to the GS and LOC mode.
If I deselect APP mode on the EFIS Control Panel after touchdown when the GS and LOC mode are still active, these modes in the FMA becoming amber and that is triggering the AFCAS Mode message which is not resetting until reloading the airplane. -
If it can help the developers to solve the problem, it always happens to me only when, after a first flight, I immediately do another one and continue.

I am seeing AFCAS TARGET in the F100 (so far not on the F70) for instance during cruise FL310 in PRF.
The message appears briefly (I had to do a screen capture to record and read it) and at the top left of the PFD another message briefly appears CRZ FL (or similar).
As far as I can determine, the aircraft has met the cruise segment targets.
Is it normal to NOT be able to open the INIT page once in flight as this is what I am presently seeing simply to verify that my cruise and other parameters are correct? -
