A trio of questions about the BAe 146 Professional in MSFS 2024
-
I bought the addon well over a year ago but never used it. I then bought the Avro RJ a few days ago and I thought I'd check out the 146 as well.
The three questions:
EFB COCKPIT PILOTS
In the EFB, there is an option called COCKPIT PILOTS. I ticked and unticked it but nothing happens. What I expected is that the flight crew disappears from the cockpit when viewed from the outside (which would make sense in case of a parked, cold and dark aircraft). Can someone explain what should I notice when ticking/unticking this option?IRS
I selected the "modern" FMS in the EFB and this modern FMS has a POS INIT menu but there isn't much I can do with it, the position is already entered and everything is up and running without me having to do much, it would appear. Should I not initialize/align some IRS like in the Avro? I mean, starting from cold and dark, how come everything is already up and running?HOW TO MAKE THE TWO FMCs INDEPENDENT
The two flight management computers seems to work in a synced mode. Is this prototypical behavior? Or a limitation in the sim? Can I make them independent? I can see an FMS menu option but I cannot seem to be able to interact with it. I hope the two can work independent of each other. I absolutely hate such limitations. At least the option should exist.I'd appreciate it if someone could shed some light on the above.

Could it be that the EFB cockpit pilots option has been replaced with the native 2024 pilot/copilot system? From memory I believe my cockpit is always empty as I have disabled them in the MSFS menu.
There is no IRS in the BAe 146.
The "modern" fmc option is just an old version of the default CJ4 FMC (which also doesn't have IRS), with some features locked out as they aren't realistic/used in the BAe. The CJ4 used to be with mirrored FMC some years back, and Justflight has never implemented the later improved versions Working Title made. Overall, it was mostly a stopgap used until the classic/UNS-1 was created IMO.
I would highly recommend you use the UNS-1 instead. Two independent FMCs, and plenty of features.
