F28 RR Spey engine question/slight sound improvement suggestion
-
Hi there community!
This is a small suggestion I had as someone who absolutely loves all of your products and is an engine nerd.Gosh, everything about the F28 is wonderful, I am buying every one of your products on day one! there's one tiny thing that I think is missing from the F28.
That would be the sound of the Spey's front low pressure compressor blades making their clattering sound as the engine runs down. I've watched videos of the Spey running and it definitely makes this sound as the blades are free running down. The rundown time seems to last a good few minutes too.
I love the engine sounds so much, but the shut down doesn't seem to include these fan blades making their sound towards the end of the rundown, unless they were captured very quiet, same for windmilling. It's possible that the recording equipment simply wasn't positioned close enough to have recorded these sounds of the blades during the engine rundown, which I definitely understand as well.
I wonder how hard this would be to implement into the sound set in the future. Thank you JF for doing such an amazing job bringing the Spey to life with the systems and the sounds!
You can hear it clearly here as the Spey is running down at the end. I often wonder the duration between fuel being cut off and the moment the engine completely stops turning. It seems like a couple of minutes, and I'm not sure how hard that would be to have in the sounds. Spey run
